Quest adds to Q-Motion range

Australian manufacturer Quest has added to its Q-motion range with the release of the QM500 loudspeaker. The passive two-way bass reflex design is said to make it ideal for full range use in addition to that as a high-mid component of a multi-way system with sub-bass enhancement.

The phase device of the 1-inch high frequency ferrite compression driver is matched to a rotatable asymmetrical wave guide that can be rotated through 270-degrees for horizontal, vertical or fold-back monitor applications. Asymmetrical coverage allows the horn to be used for long throw performance and wide-angle close coverage applications without creating ‘hot zones’.

Weighing 24.2kg, the 500W speaker operates within a 55-18kHz (+/-3dB) frequency response and has a rated sensitivity of 98dB @ 1kHz.
