Quinta becomes beyerdynamics fifth generation conferencing system

Introducing the fifth generation of its conferencing technology to the market, beyerdynamic has unveiled Quinta, a wireless system described by the manufacturer as ‘attractive, reliable and future-proof’.
The control unit of the Quinta system offers three frequency bands (2.4GHz, 5.2 GHz and 5.8GHz) for wireless communication, with the choice of either automatic or manual switching. Frequency changes during operation are reportedly completely silent regardless of whether the end-user chooses the automatic or manual mode, while system already meets the latest regulations of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and can be integrated into existing or new building computer networks that comply with the IEEE 802.1 AVB standard. Operation via smartphone or tablet is supported.
Alongside the main control unit, Quinta includes a range of microphone units that has already been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for exceptionally detailed solutions.
For the chairman, delegate and double delegate microphone units the manufacturer is offering gooseneck microphones with an XLR connector in four different lengths. Among the design features are ‘solid housing’, scratch-resistant paint sourced from the automotive industry, and a brushed stainless steel finish. In terms of functionality, the units include back-lit keys for dark rooms, braille inscriptions to assist the visually impaired when using the system, and a programmable function button for the chairman to play a decisive role in proceedings.
