RedNet adds 16-channel analogue I/O with A16R

The RedNet range of Dante-flavoured AoiP interfaces from Focusrite has been joined by a 16-channel analogue I/O in the shape of the A16R. The unit has been designed to occupy a 1U rack-space and offers 24-bit, 192kHz A/D-D/A conversion.
The interface follows the popularity of the RedNet 2 16-channel I/O unit. Its analogue inputs and outputs are accessed via four rear-panel DB25 connectors wired to AES59 specification, while two XLR connectors provide additional AES 3/AES 11 (digital audio/DARS) connectivity. Word Clock I/O connections are made via BNC sockets and permit switchable termination. Dual network connections are provided on locking etherCON connectors and the dual PSU power inputs include cable-retaining clips.
Other features include a dynamic range of 119dB A-weighted, a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz (±0.15dB), dual power supplies for redundancy, and front panel indicators comprising triple-colour LEDs for monitoring levels plus sample rate, clock source, PSU and network status.
