Revolabs and Cisco collaborate on conference phone

Cisco has selected Revolabs to develop its latest IP conference phone. Powered by Revolabs’ FLX platform, Cisco’s IP Conference Phone 8831 features a sleek industrial design intended to complement any executive boardroom or conference room.

Revolabs worked closely with Cisco in order to optimise its new FLX platform to interoperate with the company’s Cisco Unified Communications Call Manager.

The Cisco IP Conference Phone 8831 base unit utilises a corded dialler and houses a dual speaker configuration with four HD capable microphones. The conference phone is available in three options to expand coverage when needed, comprising a daisy-chain kit to link two base units together, and wired and wireless microphone kits – each featuring two omnidirectional microphones.

The optional wireless microphone kit calls on Revolabs’ experience in wireless microphones and acoustic echo cancellation to deliver a flexible solution to users. With the kit, users can place the additional microphones anywhere they are needed in a conference room to expand coverage and maximise sound quality.
