‘RF command centre’ debuts from Kaltman Creations
Published: PRODUCTS
Kaltman Creations has developed the Invisible Waves X RF analyser, which it describes as acting as ‘a total RF command centre’ for wireless microphones, in-ear monitors and intercom systems.
Designed to identify any unwanted audio interference, the analyser reportedly adds an array of controls providing ‘world-first’ RF analysis. Among the new features is a UFO (unidentified frequency objects) alert function to warn a user of any rogue interference, and a click-to-listen and RF coordinator function to identify usable open RF space.
An RF spectrum analyser is described as ‘the core’ of the entire system. When an interesting transmission is detected, the user selects the click-to-listen function to identify the signal, then that signal is custom named and catalogued into the master status display for continued monitoring. After this, the RF event recorder function can be used to analyse 24 hours (or more) of RF activity.
An RF congestion scale is also included, gauging the severity of local RF, and an RF ‘level alert’ to warn a user when any catalogued signals fall below assigned thresholds. An RF event/alarm recorder and logger is also included.
Invisible Waves X is sold as a ‘laptop-sized’ complete kit, which includes an AC adaptor/charger, multiple antennas and a USB to PC connection. The analyser also includes an intuitive and ‘easy-to-use’ sweep
analysis display for simultaneous broad span sweeps, and docking on-screen control panels.
