Riedel adds to range

Riedel Communications has introduced a number of new products across its range.

The Artist 1100 Series OLED control panel is its new control key panel for Artist digital matrix intercoms. With 65,000 colours and a resolution of 140dpi the displays are able to show up to eight characters of up to 24x24 pixels. The panel provides individual rotary encoders to adjust the listen level of every talk key, as well as five dedicated function keys, a built-in loudspeaker, an XLR headset connector and a removable gooseneck microphone. Three GPIs and three GPOs are available for system-wide programming. Two sets of balanced line level audio inputs and outputs are also provided. The panel provides both BNC and Cat-5 connectors and the second audio channel of the AES signal allows it to transport broadcast quality audio.

The Riedel Juggler interface integrates Tetra networks into wired Artist digital matrix intercoms. The system allows calls from any port/group/conference of the Artist system to up to 64 individual Tetra radio groups and vice versa. The system consists of the Juggler Artist Interface, the Tetra Base Station Controller and the Tetra Base Station. It connects the Base Station Controller to the Artist system via Madi. The system can be set up as a single or multi-site installation.

The manufacturer has also unveiled its native integration of VoIP telephone technology into a matrix intercom infrastructure. After installing Riedel’s new firmware update for the Artist VoIP-108 client card, SIP-compatible VoIP telephone servers can be integrated into the Riedel Artist intercom system. It is possible to call any VoIP telephone within the network directly from an Artist key panel and vice versa.

Riedel has launched additional video and media cards as well as new software based processing and conversion features for the MediorNet platform. Conversion functionality offers signal conversion in broadcast quality. MediorNet now also features integrated timecode display, generation and distribution. The VITC is transported via the Blackburst sync signal. The new On-Screen-Display shows connection status, distribution status, signal status, timecode, destination or source of the video inputs and outputs.

The MN-HD6IO HD/SDI video card offers two inputs, two outputs and two universal connectors that can be defined by the user as inputs or outputs. The standard version offers all MediorNet software based conversion and processing features, the enhanced version provides additional on-board signal conversion. New LNK cards are also available with Neutrik opticalCON connectors on board. These connectors offer an automatic sealing cover and a push-pull locking mechanism. The MN-ETH6 offers six 1Gbit Ethernet ports and allows for fibre and copper connections.

A further new card from the manufacturer is the RockNet RN.345.ILnetwork plug-in card for Allen & Heath’s iLive. The RN.345.ILcard fits into any iLive MixRack Port B expansion slot and provides an interface to 64 input and 64 output channels. A rotary switch on the front panel sets device identification and selection of up to 15 programmable routing tables.
