Robe releases the PARfect light

Robe has described its latest product as ‘the first LED PAR of it’s kind’. Named PARfect, it is based on the manufacturer’s LEDBeam 100 technology, and utilises the same optical system and light engine.

The PARfect uses 12 15W RGBW LEDs and features a 7-degree beam angle with the option of additional diffusers to achieve 10-, 20-, and 45-degrees. A Powercon connector I/O allows six or 12 (US and Europe respectively) to be daisy-chained together. Optional accessories include barn doors and a gel frame.

In addition to the RGBW version, a SmartWhite PARfect (tuneable from 2,700 – 6,500k), and a daylight fixture producing 6,200K will be available in the future.

Using the same LEDBeam technology, the new LEDBeam 100 can be used as either a beam or a wash light. It features a proprietary optical system enabling a zoom of 4- to 60-degrees with full beam control ideal for long throws or a smooth even wash. Additional features include a super-fast pan/tilt to create effects.

Meanwhile, following Robe’s acquisition of GDS earlier this year, the manufacturer has debuted a line of battery-powered LED products. Named the LiteWare HO, the first model in the series is a high-output up-lighter utilising two 40W RGD LEDs. The rechargeable battery will power the LEDs for up to 18 hours, depending on the colour mix and output level, and each unit can be remotely controlled via wireless DMX or set to operate independently.

Also in the series is the LiteWare Satellite. Containing either two 40W RGB or white LEDs, the head can be fitted directly onto the base unit or raised up to 2.7m off the ground via a telescopic pole. With a 270-degree tilt and 360-degree pan adjustment, the Satellite is stated to provide ‘a quick, easy-to-rig, cable-free system’. Both LiteWare models are supplied in purpose-built flight cases of four or six units, complete with inbuilt, intelligent charging electronics. The units can be continuously stored ‘on-charge’ ensuring they are always ready for use.
