RTS Intercom Systems increases range
Published: PRODUCTS
RTS used IBC to introduce the new Zeus III LE and LE+ digital intercom matrices.
The Zeus III LE is designed to address the need for matrix power in smaller installations with 16 In/Outs and a single power supply unit. The Zeus III LE+ is also equipped with 16 in/outs, but features the same dual/redundant power supply included with the Zeus III. Both the LE and the LE+ also include an additional two channels of party-line interface via a built-in hybrid for connecting to RTS TW, Telex Audiocom and Clearcom party-line systems.
The matrices also feature a dedicated DB-9 trunk connector with standard RS485 protocol, each of the 16 channels may be used to connect a keypanel or 4W audio; remote configuration via Ethernet; and dynamic keypanel addressing.
Another new matrix from RTS is the Adam-M compact intercom matrix frame. This new 3RU matrix frame supports eight interface cards in addition to redundant master controllers. It is fully compatible with all existing Adam cards, including the new Madi-16+. When combined with the Madi-16+, the Adam-M can be configured with up to 256 ports. In addition to Madi, users can configure the frame with AES, RVON, and analogue with full redundancy.
The backplane architecture is fully capable of supporting 1,000+ time slots for integration into full Adam-based systems. The front panel is designed to provide system status at-a-glance, including card activity, power status, and cooling function.
The Madi-16+ card expands the configuration capabilities of the Adam matrix frame by using up to 64 channels of Madi to connect any AES-10-compliant devices over coaxial and fibre connections. The card operates at a sampling rate of 48 kHz, and with a point-to-point configuration. It allows 16 to 64 channels of audio In and Out. It is also fully compatible with AZedit intercom configuration software.
The MH series single and dual-sided headsets consist of three models also available in ‘L’-designated left-handed versions. The MH-300 is a single-sided headset without ANR (Active Noise Reduction), the MH-302 is a dual-sided headset without ANR and the MH-402 is a dual-sided headset with ANR.
The MH series features a dynamic speaker transducer with a sensitivity of 100dB SPL/mW at 1kHz an, impedance of 150 ohms nominal, and a frequency response of 100Hz to 10kHz. It also features a noise-canceling dynamic mic with 200 ohm impedance, a sensitivity of 200Hz to 5kHz and a 1.8m cord.
