RTW enters the music world MM3 MusicMeter

RTW is venturing into the music industry for the first time with its MM3 MusicMeter. The MM3 is aimed at customers looking to implement loudness metering into music-based applications.
The MM3 features vectorscope, PPM/TruePeak or VU, real time analysers, loudness against time charts, as well as numeral and graphical loudness display and zoom modes. The display can be adjusted for vertical or horizontal modes. MM3 supports include analogue, SPDIF and USB audio inputs and an SPDIF output which delivers a buffered stereo signal or downmix from a 5.1 stream.
It is also compatible with RTW’s USB connect software, which equips users with a direct audio signal transfer and additional control from within a DAW environment.
A further new release from the manufacturer is the APRO-CLC01 audio processor hardware for Continuous Loudness Control (CLC). This provides the first OEM hardware for the CLC algorithm, which RTW developed in cooperation with the German Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT). The CLC signal processing algorithm allows users to constantly control and regulate to a given programme-loudness value and define loudness range with minimal obstacles for unknown, live content.
Away from new releases, version 4.0 of RTW’s Loudness Tools and Mastering Tools software adds support for Mac OS X 10.11 ‘El Capitan’ and implements user requested features such as a selectable 12th octave RTA, cinema loudness (TASA and SAWA), and free scalable instrument size. Both the Loudness Tools and Mastering Tools software can also be operated as stand-alone versions.
Another software release is Version 1.5 software for the TM3-Primus and USB Connect. This also adds support for Mac OD X 10.11 ‘El Capitan’ and adheres to the recently released standard charges in the EBU Loudness Recommendation (EBU R 128). Users can read the Smax and Mmax values as a freely selectable feature and can turn both measurements on or off, depending on what their work entails.
USB Connect also receives some additional control features, including Time and Ref +/- and automatic channel allocation when signals are fed to the TM3-Primus via USB from DAWs.
