S10i leads Adamson install drive

The S10i has begun shipping from Adamson Systems Engineering following a number of early installations worldwide. An install-specific version of the Canadian manufacturer’s S10 line source system, the S10i boasts many of the same features as the touring enclosure but with specialised rigging ‘designed to minimise costs for the integrator and to simplify installation’.

The cabinet has already found a home in a number of venues worldwide, including the Chao Club in Nanjing, the Sony Centre in Toronto, Cannes’ Claude Debussy Theatre and the Olavshallen concert hall in Trondheim.

It is a 2-way, full range line source cabinet containing two 10-inch ND10-LM Kevlar neodymium drivers plus a 4-inch NH4TA2 1.5-inch exit compression driver. According to Adamson, the enclosure produces a ‘slightly curved’ wavefront with a nominal dispersion pattern of 110-degrees (h) x 10-degrees (v). Also onboard is patent-pending Controlled Summation Technology (CST), which reportedly eliminates low-mid lobing. The stated frequency range is 60Hz to 18kHz with a maximum peak SPL of 141.3dB. For low-end reinforcement, a companion S119i subwoofer is available with a 19-inch ND19-S Kevlar neodymium driver and a 5-inch voice coil.
