Simultaneous communication from Eartec’s ComStar

Eartec's ComStar is a new full duplex system that has been designed to allow busy production crew members to converse simultaneously.

The manufacturer notes that crew members often have to wait to take turns to speak during a production and have to continuously press buttons to operate communications systems, and have optimised ComStar to be as efficient as possible in this respect. One of the ways the manufacturer has tackled this is to design the tool so that it does not need to be activated. In fact, it has no transmit buttons. Instead, to operate it, all a user need do is turn the system ‘On’, and talk. 

Up to eight users can converse simultaneously, and the system includes discreet Cyber headsets and lightweight ComStar beltpacks.

ComStar is certified for worldwide non-licensed use.
