SM Pro builds Wi-Fi into uMiX

Comprising a range of fully-featured remote controllable digital mixers, Sm Pro Audio’s uMiX is described as a portable ‘road-ready’ mixing solution.

The family of wife remote controllable digital mixers includes 8-, 12-, 16-, and 24-channel models, each with built-in parametric EQ, dynamics, and digital FX available on all channels. All uMiX models include an on-board secure Wi-Fi and Ethernet router as well as remote microphone preamps.

Built for both desktop and touch devices, the mixers bring remote access, multi-touch and key commands, with the look and feel of a hardware mixer. The built-in Wi-Fi router allows the mixer to create its own personal Wi-Fi network, connectable from any typical Wi-Fi enabled device. Control of groups, FX, permissions and channel safes can therefore be accomplished remotely.

Users can capture performances with ‘one touch’ stereo recording to any USB stick/drive, and play the recordings back with the integrated digital media player. Additionally, uMiX16 and uMiX24 offer extra processing (MaxVolume and MaxxBass).
