Sommer Cable reworks Syswall range

Sommer Cable has reworked its Syswall range by adjusting the central plates in order to comply with installation and property sector requirements. In addition to this, the range now includes various new features designed to benefit planners and installation technicians.

The modules are now available in two different versions. The first features a mini-breakout cable for integration in dado trunking and cavity walls. Meanwhile, the second variation employs lift terminal technology for easy positioning of cable ends.

The Syswall50 employs a 4mm solid stainless steel 50 x 50mm central plate with glass bead-blasted surface. The front panel has been designed to reportedly offer total compatibility with all common switch frames. The front plates are secured by two screws on stainless steel installation frames. Meanwhile, the Sysdesk 50-5 is a stainless steel solution for the property sector.

The slightly larger Syswall55 is a 55 x 55mm model that is aimed at business environments. It features an easy clip installation system, resulting in their being no visible screws to hold the central plate in place.

Lastly, the Syswall45 employs a micro channel system for 45mm clip modules used in dado trunking and media channel systems.

In an additional announcement from the German manufacturer, Sommer Cable has also released the Hicon Hi-Fiber4 connector, a four-fibre fibre-optical connection sporting an all-metal housing for heavy-duty indoor and outdoor applications.

The use of standard LC connectors inside the unit reportedly makes it easy to configure and repair, and its construction conforms to protection class IP68.
