Sommer launches Richard Z Kruspe Signature Cable

Sommer Cable has teamed up with Rammstein’s lead guitarist, Richard Z Kruspe to launch a new guitar cable range.
The result is a soft, highly flexible guitar cable that places a particular emphasis on aesthetics. Specifically, it sports a 7.5mm velvety, semi-transparent Red ZILK jacket that lets the cable slide to ground ‘as lightly as a feather’.
Meanwhile, for the interior construction the manufacturer has used concentrically stranded, fine litz wires that feature almost the same values as a solid wire design. The copper litz wires comply with N6 purity grade (OFC 99.9999%), and a gas-injected PE compound is used for the insulation, similar to that of broadcast SDI-HD-TV video cables. This ensures a low capacitance of 65 pF/m.
The Richard Z Kruspe Signature Cable is available in two versions: either with a gold-plated Hicon HIJ63M03-G full metal jack connector on both ends or with an angled, flat Hicon HI-J63MA05 pancake plug on one side.
Sommer Cable states that the cable is 100 per cent optically shielded by the combination of a tight helical copper mesh screen and a carbon semiconductor. The cable is available in 3, 6 and 10m options, although custom lengths are available on request.
