Sound isolating earphones from Shure
Published: PRODUCTS
Shure Incorporated recently unveiled its SE846 sound isolating earphones, boasting a quad high-definition micro driver with a three-way system configuration for dedicated low, mid and high frequency distribution. Designed for professionals and audiophiles alike, the patent-pending SE846 boasts an ‘unprecedented’ low-pass filter with true subwoofer, enabling deep low-end performance.
Specifically, the low-pass filter enables 3dB low end roll off at 90Hz and 10dB at 250Hz, whilst 10 precision-welded, stainless steel plates form 10cm of acoustic mass pathway, naturally enabling low frequency roll off to begin at approximately 75Hz without distortion or artefacts.
The SE846 provides a combination of sound signatures, noise isolation and quality, and all in a comfortable design. Lightweight with a low profile shape, the SE846 has an optimised nozzle angle that’s designed to rest comfortably in the ear.
Additionally, a clear version of the earphones are available and come with three changeable nozzles, allowing a user to customise their listening experience by selecting the nozzle insert with the preferred frequency response. A detachable cable for easy replacement and an accessories package that includes three pairs of disposable black foam sleeves, three pairs of soft flex sleeves and a carrying case are also included.
