Soundking is now shipping the MC4000 switch mode power amplifier with a design based on class H circuitry to promote power efficiencies and heat reduction, whilst reducing the temperature and harmonic currents.
The two-channel amplifier incorporates its own DSP, including a five-band parametric EQ for each output, crossover, compression, limiting, noise gate, input gain and delay settings. A PC or laptop can monitor or manage the signal chain via the RS-485 port inserted into the rear of the MC4000 chassis and 24 programmes can be saved as presets. Electronic protections against short circuiting, thermal overload, DC, over voltage and non-sine waves have all been integrated. A front panel blue LCD provides the user with a password-protected interface.
Meanwhile, the WF series is a new portable range of loudspeakers developed by the Ningbo-based manufacturer, consisting of our four full range two way cabinets and two subwoofers. The WF10 is a trapezoidal cabinet, which comes with a built-in crossover and combines a 10-inch woofer and a 44mm HF compression driver mounted onto a 90° x 50° horn. Housed in 18mm plywood, the cabinet is finished in black waterproof paint, whilst the interior incorporates acoustic foam behind a steel grille. Twelve M10 rigging points provide fixed installation options, whilst an angle adjustment together and an integrated 35mm pole mount socket offer ease of set up for live performances.
The WF12 design combines a 12-inch woofer with a 44mm HF compression driver mounted onto an 80°x50° horn, with a magnet design again intended to promote heat dissipation under continuous high power operation. Many of the same features of the WF10 are included in the larger encloure, although 13 M10 rigging points have also been integrated.
The WF15 combines a 15-inch woofer with a 75mm voice coil and a 74mm compression driver with a non-metallic diaphragm mounted to a 90° rotatable 80°x50° horn. The WF115 differs from the WF15 in the respect that the 15-inch woofer is matched to a 100mm voice coil. The WF15S is a compact phase inverted subwoofer, which integrates a direct-radiating 15-inch cone speaker with a 100mm voice coil. Two carrying handles are built into the sides of the waterproofed 18mm plywood enclosure, whilst four-Pin Speakon connectors have been inserted in parallel connection. Finally, the WF218S model is a dual bass reflex 18-inch subwoofer, offering the same features and build characteristics as the WF15S design.
