SSL adds Split mode to Madi-Bridge

Solid State Logic’s Network I/O: Madi-Bridge – for interfacing Madi and Dante systems – has been enhanced with new features including sample rate conversion and the new ‘Split Mode’.

The newly introduced bi-directional sample rate conversion functionality is capable of switching between 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHzm, and 96kHz sample rates. The new Split mode allows a pair of Madi connectors to be used independently – instead of redundantly – for bi-directional split/combine operations. For example, two 32-channel 96kHz Madi feeds can be combined to form one 64-channel, 48kHz Dante stream or an asynchronous, but same sample rate stage can be connected to multiple OB vans.

Additionally, the firmware upgrade introduces a new Lock mode, allowing admin users to freeze all functionality of the unit except for the front panel confidence monitoring. Finally, when in Monitoring mode, users are now able to switch between displaying the Monitor Matrix view and the Channel Name of the device being monitored.
