Stand-mounted absorbers from Auralex

Aimed at contractors and systems integrators, the ProGO range stand-mounted absorbers has been introduced at the head of a wealth of new products from Auralex Acoustics.
The ProGO baffle is described by Auralex as a ‘portable, lightweight and highly efficient’ absorber intended for use across multiple applications including stages, classrooms and studios. It comprises a custom, two-sided ProPanel assembly fitted into a custom black melamine-laminated base that can be outfitted with optional casters for increased portability. According to the manufacturer it is particularly suited to controlling early reflections and is also ‘highly effective’ as a bass trap. A total of 12 colours are available.
Also new is the ProFusor II fabric-wrapped sound diffusor, which is designed to address flutter echo without removing acoustic energy in a critical listening environment or greatly changing the frequency content of the sound.
According to Auralex, the ProFusor II can ‘make a small space seem large and a large space seem even larger’. It is available in two sizes and five colour options and is intended for use in houses of worship, listening rooms, concert halls and recording studios.
Meanwhile, Studiofoam T acoustic absorption panels, made from a melamine-free formula, eliminate both flutter echo, standing waves and more while boasting a contemporary aesthetic. The panels feature a repeating T profile pattern to appeal to a broad variety of applications, and are available in three colours.
Finally, the HoverMat isolation platform has been introduced to help end-users isolate drum-kits from a floor or hollow stage, thereby reducing resonance.
