Symetrix aims to reduce price per channel

The latest releases to come from the Seattle labs of DSP specialist Symetrix are the SymNet xIn 12 and xOut 12. These products have been designed to increase a system’s analogue input or output channel capacity and the manufacturer claims the ‘cost-effective’ solution will enable users to reduce a system’s overall price per channel.

The new products have been designed exclusively for use with SymNet Edge and Radius DSP units. Each of the 12 studio-grade analogue inputs and outputs, along with bus assignments, are configured using SymNet Composer open architecture software. This means that the xIn 12 and xOut 12 set up process requires no third party software. A further benefit cited by the manufacturer is that there are no mechanical switches and no circuit board jumpers to set.
