t&mSystems targets paging applications with ProjectMix818

A new range of installation products has been announced by t&mSystems, the first offering being the ProjectMix818 mixer. Described as ‘flexible and competitively-priced’, the eight-zone mixer incorporates paging functions and has been designed to suit public address and music applications.
The manufacturer states that the new range is focused on providing all the features a contractor may require in an easy-to-install package. One such feature is that the ProjectMix818 features four line and four mic/line inputs that can selectively be switched as the source for any of the output zones. Adding to its ease of use, LCD displays for each zone show which input source is in use, whilst a similar LCD display is also used on the remote control panels.
The ProjectMix818 incorporates two inputs for t&m paging mics, and a further mic input can also be sent (with level control) to any or all zones in addition to their selected source. The paging mics include selection switches for each zone or all-zones, and if two or more ProjectMix818 units are linked together an expansion module can be used to expand the paging mic by a further eight zones.
Up to four ProjectMix818 units can be linked to expand the system to a maximum of 32 zone outputs, and the mixer also allows for 24V DC operation. Additionally, each zone features a local input to feed a signal directly into that region, which is a facility which enables a house PA system to be used in each zone for background music, paging and seminars.
The unit incorporates contact closures to override all other inputs when the system is required to provide a voice alarm facility.
