Italy’s Tasker has announced the Komby cable TSK1096, explaining that the evolution of its core markets of digital audio and video applications has spurred the creation of a range of Komby cables for big screens, video walls in studios, events and for broadcast.
Models within the Komby range comprise cables with different element numbers collected under the same sheath, though Tasker has singled out the TSK1096. The assembly is composed of four 75 Ohm, HD video cables plus four digital audio 110 Ohm AES/EBU cables.
It is intended for use with video projectors, monitors, video cameras, CCTV systems, video walls, digital racks and more. The manufacturer is also keen to highlight the materials used for the assembly’s construction, including oxygen-free pure copper and a flame-resistant PVC sheath to facilitate installation in public buildings.
According to Tasker, the advantages of using a Komby cable include transporting audio and video information with just one cable, and reduced installation time.
Crucially, the manufacturer describes the TSK1096 as a special cable for broadcast installations within television studios, recording facilities, theatres, public buildings, sporting facilities, live events and shows, and public outdoor events.
