Tasker updates C128 for dedicated applications

Italian cable manufacturer, Tasker, has announced five new variations on its C128 microphone cable for a range of dedicated applications. The original C128 cable was designed for long cable runs in broadcast or fixed installations scenarios. It features a 6.3mm-diameter outer sheath with a nominal section of 2x0.35mm² and shielded in red and tinned OFC copper with cotton filler to reduce distortion, in addition to an OFC tinned copper braid shielding.
Differening only minorly from the orignal, the new variations include the C128 LSHZ which features a low smoke and zero halogen cable jacket for use in public installations, as well as the C128 PE which features a water resistant polyethylene outer sheath for outdoor or buried use. The C128 AR trades this same outer sheath for one constructed from polyurathane, which the manufacfturer states makes it flame retardant, halogen free, resistant to friction, treading, UV rays and temperatures of -40/+80-degrees Celsius. Finally, the C128 AR features a special steel armour to provide protection against rodents in underground installations. Furthermore, the orgininal C128 is also now available in seven different colours.
