TC Electronic and Universal Audio recently announced a collaboration to offer a crossgrade option to UAD-2 for registered PowerCore users worldwide in line with the company’s’ decision to cease further development of the PowerCore product range.
The crossgrade program will allow registered PowerCore users to receive a pack of UAD Powered Plug-Ins free of charge when registering their newly purchased UAD-2 DSP Accelerator Package. The most recent release of software version 4.0 is fully compatible with current operating systems and DAWs – 32 bit as well as 64 bit.
In order to qualify for the crossgrade offer, new PowerCore users must register a new UAD-2 package via Universal Audio’s website before June 30th 2011. TC Electronic is keen to stress it will continue to sell all of the existing PowerCore plug-ins and hardware variants and will continue to offer user support for the platform. The company will also continue its general computer recording activities, including audio interfaces and plug-ins.
