TC Electronic provides further Clarity

With its dedicated stereo and surround tools, TC Electronic has designed the Clarity M desktop audiometer for use in studio environments, and in particular, applications such as music production, film and drama. The manufacturer states that it is ‘suited to stereo and 5.1 mixing, mastering and postproduction’, boasting features such a seven-inch display, DAW-integration and precision meters to improve mixes while keeping them standards-compliant.
Clarity M’s plugin metering enables measurement from anywhere within a DAW, simultaneously providing a readout on the device. Metering options include the manufacturer’s Loudness Radar, a True-Peak meter, down-mix compliance meters and a real-time analyser, as well as correlation meters for stereo and surround sound. The desktop audiometer also boasts a variety of source input options such as USB for VST (Virtual Studio Instruments), Audio Units and AAX for plugin metering, and six unbalanced AES3 digital audio channels on 75-Ohm BNC connectors for broadcast-grade 5.1 metering. It is complaint with broadcast standards including TU BS.1770-4, ATSC A/85, EBU R128, TR-B32 and OP-59.
