Telos Hx6 talkshow system promises ‘huge feature set’
Published: PRODUCTS
The latest multi-line talkshow system from Telos has debuted in the form of the Hx6, promising a ‘huge feature set and superior sound quality’, plus the same dual-hybrid technology found in the company’s Hx1 and Hx2.
A six line system that works with either POTS or ISDN phone lines, the HX6 is reportedly equipped with ‘a full suite of audio processing capabilities’. Among them is the manufacturer’s own Digital Dynamic EQ, which is designed to extract caller audio from particularly demanding connections.
Other features include wide-range AGC by Omnia Audio; studio adaptation and a ‘subtle, inaudible’ pitch shifter that work in tandem to prevent feedback in open-speaker studio environments; a caller override function; VSet6 six-line phone controllers with VGA LCD displays promising intuitive operation; caller ID for both analogue and digital connections; and Livewire IP-Audio to enable single-cable integration with Axia networks. Setup and configuration of the system is via Ethernet using any PC and web browser, while XScreen Lite call screening software from Broadcast Bionics comes as standard.
Three different versions of the Hx6 are available for analogue POTS phone lines, ISDN-S (Europe), or ISDN-U (North American) digital phone lines. Users also have a choice of analogue I/O or optional AES/EBU I/O for an extra charge.
