Three specialist dance music cables from Pioneer

Three new types of ‘high durability, reference grade’ cable have arrived from Pioneer, all designed specifically for dance music applications.
The manufacturer describes them as ‘enabling the fast low-frequency response that suits dance music playback’.
Included is the DAS-RCA020R RCA analogue cable, the DAS-DGC020R RCA digital coaxial cable and the DAS-XLR030R XLR cable. Each model boasts netting and braided shielding plus plated treatment to the plugs and connectors, all intended to aid durability in nightclub environments.
Pioneer also promises that each cable offers ‘clear sound quality and a strong sound field’ thanks to each model’s construction, including the use in the RCA analogue version of 6N-Cu copper as the conductor alongside neoprene rubber for external shielding. Four-core twisted wire is used to aid noise suppression in the XLR cable.
Meanwhile, the plug construction reportedly benefits from the use of Collet chuck RCA plugs to tighten and lock on the terminals of devices, and Neutrik plugs for the XLR cable. A black nickel plating has also been applied.
