TOA announces EN 54-24 compliance for multiple speakers

TOA Electronics has announced that a number of its speakers now meet the EN 54-24 certification.
The speakers meeting the standard are the PC-2369EN, BS-678BSB, BS-678BSW, CS-64BS, CS-154BS and the SC-615BS.
TOA says it is the first manufacturer to meet all three parts applicable to voice alarm components. These are EN 54-4: Power Supply Equipment, EN 54-16: Voice Alarm and Indicating Equipment and EN 54-24: System Loudspeakers.
EN 54 stipulates the product and testing requirements for voice alarm components in fire detection and alarm systems. The norm is put in place in order to improve the communication of installed systems with the outside world – users, installers, firemen and, most importantly, the public. Also, the EN 54 states the availability of system functionality in most adverse operating environments.
