Transit Mini Kombi 52231

Recognising the fact that presentations are not possible without using media technology has prompted Sommer Cables to produce the Transit Mini Kombi 52231 cable. Designed for integration into a conference desk, the new 52231 combines VGA/video, power, network and audio connections so that it can manage all signals in one 14.2 mm diameter cable. Owing to its compact design and highly flexible PVC sheath, the flexible cable can be quickly installed in applications where space is critical. The Transit Mini Kombi 52231 cable lends itself well for use with the modular Sysdesk desk tank series, but is versatile enough for both use in either mobile applications or permanent installations. The composite cable includes five 0.3/1.8 VGA / video, three 0.75 mm² power, four 2 x 0.15 mm² CAT-6, two 2 x 2 0.08 mm² audio and two 0.14 mm² control cables.

The Octopus Hybrid 222 broadcast camera cable has also been developed by the German manufacturer specifically for the needs of cameramen working in digital broadcast applications. In addition to two single mode 9/125μm fibres for picture and sound, the hybrid includes two control and two power lines.

Furthermore, the integration of a flexible steel rope offers strain relief. A halogen-free Ø 9.7 mm PUR sheath offers resistance against cold temperatures and is flame-retardant to IEC 332-1 standards in addition to being UV radiation proof. The hybrid can operate under extreme temperatures from –40°C to +80°C, yet retains its flexibility and so is especially well-suited for mobile applications such as OB vehicles. A tight copper mesh provides solid shielding, while speeds of up to 10Gbit/s with a low damping loss ensures that rapid transfers of data are possible.
