TSL shifts focus to IP

TSL Products is claiming to have debuted the world’s first uncompressed video-over-IP audio monitor with its release of the PAM-IP range, thereby allowing users to monitor audio directly from IP streams without going through ‘cumbersome’ format conversion first. The devices are designed to aid the transition to an IP-based workflow and is stated to be ideally suited to meet the needs of facilities involved in the production and transmission of live productions.
The British manufacturer states that the range is capable of monitoring video, audio and associated metadata from either traditional 3G-SDI connection or an S2022-6 IP stream or should integrate ‘seamlessly’ in a hybrid environment where an SDI, AES and analogue-based infrastructure can be monitored alongside an IP-based infrastructure.
