Universal Audio brings Manley’s Voxbox to Apollo

The Manley Voxbox channel strip plugin, endorsed by Manley Labs and developed by Universal Audio (UA), supports Unison technology and offers real-time vocal tracking, but crucially, brings the sound of the iconic vocal processor to UA’s Apollo interfaces and UAD-2 DSP accelerator hardware.
Focusing on vocal production, the Voxbox offers tube-based sonics and a specialised feature set. It also includes a high-fidelity tube mic preamp, vactrol optical compressor, Pultec-style passive EQ and de-esser/limiter in a 3U-style virtual interface that harks back to the original hardware.
Users of UA’s Apollo audio interfaces can track in real time with the channel strip. It also gives Apollo users the VOXBOX impedance, fain staging and circuit behaviours. The plugin can also be used on the UAD-2 satellite and PCIe DSP accelerators.
