Version 4.0 software brings Bench mode to APx family

Coinciding with the recent introduction of Audio Precision’s new flagship APXx555 analyser, version 4.0 of the APx500 audio test software has been released with a focus on system flexibility. Several new measurement modes have been added alongside the ability to share projects for increased measurement consistency.

Version 4.0 software is compatible with the manufacturer’s complete APx family of audio analysers. The release features a new Bench mode to complement the existing user-selectable automated measurement sequences. Bench mode uses a 2700 Series inspired UI to provide real-time analysis and interaction. The pre-existing mode is now called Sequence mode and provides quick, repeatable testing and codec-free automation.

Also new with this release is the ability to share projects created in Sequence mode between APx systems. According to the manufacturer, this is crucial in maintaining measurement reliability throughout the test period, from prototype to final product.
