Vitec’s HOW streaming solution renews its vision

In a bid to further the capabilities of its end-to-end streaming solutions with the additions of recording, playback and time-slip functionality, Vitec has partnered with Renewed Vision. A house of worship with multiple campuses can reportedly tailor broadcast services to the needs of its satellite locations due to Vitec integrating its House of Worship Streaming Solution with Renewed Vision’s ProVideoServer.
The streaming solutions provider’s encoders, decoders and Zixi protocol are now available as a bundle with ProVideoServer, enabling easy recording from the main campus of one or more encoded streams, alongside embedded timecode and multichannel audio. Playback of the streams at a satellite campus can take place at any time, either on a delay or immediately as the recording is taking place live as a result of the ProVideoServer’s time-slip functionality.
Vitec’s advanced video compression is designed so that all streams will display in high quality on large IMAG screens, while video-transport issues that plague unmanaged IP networks are to be eliminated by the Zixi software. Meanwhile, the manufacturer states that the synchronisation abilities provided by the ProVideoServer and Vitec’s encoding and decoding technology allows multiple camera angles ‘to stream at the highest HD video quality and at the lowest possible latency to a remote site, making it an ideal dual-input, dual-output, time-slipped media record and playout server’ for HOWs that stream multiple cameras.
