Wall-plate transmitter completes Extron XTP line

Extron Electronics has announced the completion of its XTP Systems range for A/V signal switching and distribution, having now debuted the XTP T UWP 202 wall-plate transmitter.

The XTP T UWP 202 wall-plate sends HDMI or RGBHV video, audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR control up to 100m over a single Cat-x cable. Models are available with or without an Ethernet port.

Comprising modular CrossPoint matrix switchers and a selection of extenders, XTP is intended to provide a completely integrated solution for local connectivity as well as extended transmission capability. The system is capable of sending high resolution video, audio, control, Ethernet, and power up to 100m over Cat-x. The CrossPoint frames also support emerging resolutions such as 4K. System design can be implemented online via the manufacturer’s XTP System Builder tool.

In other news from the Anaheim-based manufacturer, the DTP CrossPoint 84 now includes a built-in IP Link Pro control processor. Renamed the DTP CrossPoint 84 IPCP, the model is now described as a ‘compact presentation matrix switcher delivering all of the capabilities necessary to design and integrate a complete A/V system in one box’. Features include a 4K matrix switcher, two built-in independent scalers, integrated DTP and XTP transmitters and receivers, a mono or stereo amplifier, DSP and the expandable control processor.
