A selection of the manufacturer’s Installed Sound microphones are now available in white for the first time, with models including the ME 34 W (cardioid), the ME 35 W (super-cardioid) and the small ME 36 W shotgun microphone (super-cardioid/lobar).
White combination accessories are also available, including a short gooseneck (MZH 3015 W), a metal ceiling hanger for attaching and aligning the microphone head (MZH 30 W) and a twist-free, 9m cable with a cable winder (MZC 30 W).
Sennheiser has also launched the first two models of an entry-level series of speakers’ microphones. The MEG 14-40-B gooseneck microphone and its sister model, the MEG 14-40-LB with an LED ring, feature a KE 10 cardioid capsule from Sennheiser in their metal housings.
Finally, an engineer mode is now offered for Sennheiser its wireless monitoring systems. The function is intended to allow monitor engineers to listen to foldback mixes with a bodypack receiver. The update for the evolution wireless ew 300 IEM G3 and 2000 IEM systems can now be downloaded free of charge from the company’s website.
When in engineer mode, the settings of the musicians’ receivers can be transferred via infra-red to the monitor engineer’s receiver. Separate information regarding frequency, frequency preset, name, squelch, focus/stereo, balance, limiter, volume boost and high boost is thus stored for each individual artist. The EK 300 IEM G3 saves up to 16 such profiles, while the EK 2000 IEM stores up to 32. The monitor engineer can then switch between the various performers mixes on the profile list, in order to check mixes individually.
