WindTech troubleshoots plosive sounds with PopGard

After spending two years in development, WindTech has released the PopGard PG-2000, which has been specifically designed to offer protection against plosive sounds for side address microphones in studio and broadcast applications.
The PopGard weighs less than 28g and can quickly attach to most side address microphones ranging from 46 to 68mm in diameter. When mounting to a mic, clamps or goosenecks are not required as it attaches to a microphone body using lightweight elastic bands. This allows it to move with the microphone without the need for constant adjustment.
In addition, the ‘easy-to-clean’ PopGard is hydrophobic, helping to prevent moisture from reaching the microphone element, while remaining acoustically transparent.
