Wings Engine Raw ‘super media server’ debuts

AV Stumpfl is describing the 8K by 4K version of its Wings Engine Raw system as an ‘ultra-high-performance super media server’. The system delivers four streams of 4K uncompressed content at 60Hz.
Features of the system include an i7 six core CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 1GB/s data rate and a 1kW power supply. Four Vio outputs are onboard plus two channel balanced audio via 6.3mm jack, optical coaxial S/P-DIF and Midi.
Also new is the Wings Vioso 3D mapping module with a ‘reinvented workflow for video projection mapping and design’. According to the manufacturer, using any 3D model and texture, Wings Vioso 3D uses camera-based calibration to compute projector and system alignments automatically.
