Wohler extends HDCC Series

Wohler Technologies has expanded its HDCC Series with the 708WSTTrans-OG2 and WST708Trans-OG2 cards. The new offerings support automatic transcoding between 608/708 and WST/OP-47 captions in baseband applications.

The HDCC-708WSTTrans-OG2 and HDCC-WST708Trans-OG2 provide automatic real-time transcoding, respectively, of 608/708 captions to WST/OP-47 captions and vice versa. According to the manufacturer, the single-card approach minimises maintenance and saves time for the end user by not having to re-enter captions.

A further new addition to the Series is the HDCC-Gameclock-OG2. This is the first single-card solution to encode and decode game-clock data from scoreboards frame-accurately in baseband SDI signals. The card reportedly interfaces with products from all the main scoreboard vendors to encode and decode clock data in a baseband SDI signal.

Both additions to the HDCC Series are compatible with a Ross openGear frame in addition to Wohler’s MC-1RU single-rack-unit enclosure with redundant power supplies for housing up to two cards.
