Work 31-band EQ adds feedback alert

A new 31 + 31 band stereo equaliser has been released by Work Pro, reportedly forming the only the EQ on the market with a feedback alert function. The unit occupies a standard 3U 19-inch rack space.

The WEQ 231 employs feedback alert on each individual frequency band to provide a warning and real-time check of peaking signals. Feedback is indicated on a per-channel basis via LED indicators on the front panel. Also integrated is a general sensitivity adjustment control. The system also adds a general sensitivity adjustment to ensure users can select the right frequency value in the hypothetical instance of feedback on two neighbouring channels.

According to the manufacturer, all other features that would be expected on such a device are present. This includes adjustable high and low-pass filters and an input gain level and bypass functions. The unit features balanced inputs and outputs with XLR-3, ¼-inch and terminal block connections.
