The manufacturer has also added two mixers to its XR Series powered-mixer line and the XR 1220 console and rack-mountable XR 1212
Peavey has added two mixers to its long-running PV Series, the PV6 USB, and PV8 USB. Both feature effects send on every channel with stereo return, and zero latency record monitoring capabilities, while a USB port allows direct connection to a computer for recording from the mixer or playing back digital audio. Both models also include pre-fader monitor sends; inserts on all channels; and dual switchable line inputs on the two stereo channels.
The manufacturer has also added two mixers to its XR Series powered-mixer line and the XR 1220 console and rack-mountable XR 1212. The mixers are based on dual 600W, class-D power amplifiers that can be configured into five operating modes for different speaker combinations. The power amps deliver 600W to each side in all modes, and those modes with subwoofer option have a built-in fourth-order crossover that sends all frequencies below 100Hz to the sub output. Each standard channel includes an XLR input and quarter-inch line input, as well as a quarter-inch channel insert, gain adjustment, 80 Hz low-cut switch, two monitor sends, EFX send, and four-band EQ. The master section features digital nine-band graphic EQ for both output amplifiers, with a built-in real-time analyser that measures the room response and sets the EQ curves automatically. The master section also includes Peavey’s Feedback Ferret digital feedback elimination and a digital effects section that includes a range of reverbs, delays and chorus with preset storage.
On the speaker side, Peavey has also announced the return of the EuroSys, with two full-range cabinets plus two new subs. The EuroSys 700 delivers 350W RMS continuous (700W programme) at 4 ohms through a 12-inch heavy-duty woofer plus EuroSys 175T compression driver. The Eurosys 800 incorporates a 400W RMS continuous (800W programme) 15-inch woofer again with the Eurosys 175T compression driver. Subs give a choice of 15-inch (EuroSys 115) and 18-inch (EuroSys 118) drivers, each capable of handling 400W RMS (800W programme), and each using specially developed woofers with high-power voice coils and dual cooling. Frequency response is 38Hz to 250Hz for the EuroSys 115 and 35Hz to 250Hz for the EuroSys 118. Both incorporate a passive crossover with a high pass output, employing a low distortion high power inductor and triple capacitor banks for low loss. The cabinets feature: 18mm plywood construction, recessed combi-jack/Speakon connections, recessed steel handles and stand adaptors (with a satellite pole fitting for the subs), resilient paint finish and curved black heavy-duty grille.
