WORLD: Robert Winterhoff has been appointed as managing director with responsibility for global sales and marketing at beyerdynamic. He forms the manufacturer’s top management alongside long-serving MD Wolfgang Luckhardt.
The newly-created position is reportedly due to the company’s continued growth and fits into the manufacturer’s ‘Fit for the Future’ strategy. ‘By this enlargement of the top management team and a split of responsibilities, resources will be freed to further enhance beyerdynamic‘s international growth and expand its market position,’ stated professor Wolf Michael Nietzer, chairman of beyerdynamic’s supervisory board.
Mr Winterhoff joins from Harman International where he held a number of positions during nearly 20 years with the corporation. These included responsibilities such as sales and marketing, business development, programme management, quality and operational excellence. In his most recent position as director global sales emerging markets/BRIC, Mr Winterhoff was responsible for the development and implementation of targeted strategies for the expansion of globally emerging markets in locations such as Brazil, China, India, Russia and more. He is also a recipient of the ‘Harman Hero’ award.
‘I am excited to co-lead a company with such legacy in professional audio,’ said Mr Winterhoff. ‘I will continue to build on our 90 year history to develop new ways to create, distribute and sell exciting products and services to customers and partners across the globe.’
