AES67 demos at InfoComm

WORLD: The Media Networking Alliance (MNA) is set to provide live demonstrations throughout the three-day exhibition at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, as well as a range of seminars and activities to raise awareness of AES67.
Those who stop by MNA's booth will be exposed to the interoperability between different AES67 network components, such as Ravenna, Dante and Livewire AoIP transports. Previous demonstrations have incorporated devices from a range of manufacturers, such as ALC Networx, Digigram, Genelec and Lawo.
‘We are demonstrating audio interoperability first and foremost, but are also demonstrating interoperability of discovery and connection management,’ enthused Kevin Gross, chair of the MNA technical work group. ‘Dante Controller software and associated network protocols are being used to configure AES67 connections to and from Dante-based devices, while demonstration software from ALC Networx bridges different discovery and connection management schemes supported by AES67. We are demonstrating live that AES67 is an industry standard interoperability technology that you can specify with confidence and use today.’
Meanwhile, on Friday 10th June at 9am, MNA chairman and QSC VP of systems strategy Rich Zwiebel will host IS103 - AES67: Achieving Interoperability Between Audio Networks alongside Marty Sacks, vice president and executive director of Axia Audio at The Telos Alliance. The seminar will explore how AES67 can be utilised in products and for projects, tapping into the experiences that both presenters possess in network technology from both installed sound and broadcast perspectives.
Also exhibiting at the event will be MNA members ALC Networx, Harman and Merging Technologies. All three will be demonstrating their AES67 compliant devices.
