Audinate to conduct Dante training at NAMM 2017

WORLD: Audinate has confirmed that it will be presenting a series of Dante training sessions at the 2017 NAMM Show. The seminars comprise a Dante masterclass as part of the NAMM Tec Tracks education programme, followed by two full days of Dante training courses designed for users of all levels.

The Tec Tracks Dante masterclass takes place in room 202A of the Anaheim Convention Center on Thursday 19th January and is titled Dante: Practical Uses in Live Sound and Recording. This will be a 45-minute panel discussion, moderated by Mark Frink and featuring representatives from a range of manufacturers, such as Shure, Yamaha, Focusrite and Mackie. The topics of conversation will cover how each of the manufacturers utilise and implement Dante in their products and how the technology can be used in real-world applications. Audinate’s software, including Dante Via and Dante Virtual Soundcard will also be discussed, with each attendee being given a free copy of the latter.

Across the whole of Friday 20th and Saturday 21st January, Audinate will be staging two full days of Dante training at the Anaheim Hilton. Each day will consist of three classes: First Steps with Digital Audio Networking, a 90-minute course designed for those that are new to audio networking; Dante Level 1 Training: Introduction to Dante, a 90-minute introductory course that teaches the basics of audio and networking concepts and lays the groundwork for attendees to complete the Dante Level 1 Certification online test; and Dante Level 2 Training: Intermediate Dante Concepts, a three-hour course for intermediate to advanced Dante users that covers subjects such as redundancy, clocking, latency and unicast versus multicast. An in-person skills test and an online test are both to be taken to complete Dante’s Level 2 Certification.
