WORLD: Infocomm 2016 will see Audinate debut a new format for its sixth annual Dante AV Networking World education event, which will involve two versions of the workshop taking place – one for beginners and one for experienced Dante users. The all-day conference will take place on 7th June at the Treasure Island hotel in Las Vegas and will include the introduction of the organisation’s new Dante certification programme.
The event will begin with a joint presentation for those of all experience levels and will feature Roland Hemming from RH Consulting discussing audio networking trends and research. Brad Price, senior product manager at Audinate, will then give his presentation, entitled Unlocking the Power of Dante Via, following which Audinate CTO Aiden Williams with deliver Inside Dante Labs: Preview of New Dante Features.
Once the groups are split up, those that are new to Dante will be taught audio networking fundamentals, basic networking concepts, and how to create a small-scale Dante network in an Introduction to Dante. Meanwhile, those with experience of utilising Dante networks will attend Intermediate Dante Concepts, which will cover Dante redundancy, clocking, latency, multicast, and AES67, and will tackle advanced networking concepts, mixed-use networks, networking best practices and troubleshooting techniques in the Advanced Dante Workshop.
The Dante AV Networking World education event will run from 9:00AM through to 4:30PM and includes a catered lunch and cocktail reception at the end of the day. The event is sponsored by 40 of the A/V industry’s leading audio brands, which will be providing hands-on demonstrations of their Dante-enabled products.
