Broadcast Pix purchases ioGates

WORLD: Broadcast Pix has confirmed its acquisition of cloud-based video production manufacturer ioGates. This follows a partnership between both companies to jointly develop the cloud-based IP media workflow and storage system, BPNet.
‘IP has been a part of the Broadcast Pix strategy for almost a decade and our acquisition of ioGates underscores our commitment to cloud-based video production workflows over IP networks,’ explained Broadcast Pix CEO Kevin Prince. ‘With the architects of BPNet now part of the Broadcast Pix team, we will continue to provide cloud-based solutions for our customers and lead the innovation in this emerging market.’
ioGates will continue to operate, selling and supporting its existing services under the Broadcast Pix umbrella. Having produced web-based video management tools since 2003, it has a worldwide customer base spanning the film and television production, education, military and sports venue markets.
