Bruce Swail becomes GatesAir CEO

WORLD: GatesAir has appointed a new CEO in the form of industry veteran Bruce Swail, with the current CEO Phil Argyris announcing his retirement. Mr Argyris plans to remain with GatesAir to facilitate a smooth leadership transition. Mr Swail brings more than 35 years’ experience to the new position, having most recently served as CEO of Ulticom, a provider of telecom signalling solutions, and the data communications vendor US Robotics.

‘I greatly enjoyed my time at GatesAir,’ Mr Argyris reflected. ‘Besides working with some of the highest quality employees and customers in the industry, I consider many of those employees and customers my friends.’

John Danner, chairman of GatesAir and managing director at The Gores Group commented, ‘We sincerely thank Phil for his nearly 14 years of leadership at the company. Over his tenure, he helped establish a standard of innovation and excellence across the company’s product and service portfolio.’
