David Claringbold joins d&b’s management team
WORLD: Having joined the advisory board of d&b audiotechnik last year, David Claringbold has been appointed to the manufacturer’s management team, taking on the role of chief marketing officer. Mr Claringbold, who once served as director of the Sydney Opera House, has relocated from Australia to Germany to begin his new position.
Taking over the CMO role from Sabina Berloffa, Mr Claringbold will report directly to CEO Amnon Harman. The position includes leading marketing communications, public relations, brand management, market intelligence and product management.
‘David is a leader with an exceptional track record of achievement at the highest level of the arts, technology and business,’ stated Mr Harman. ‘For decades he’s not only been familiar with the international pro audio industry but also with d&b systems. He has a clear vision of how markets around the world will change and how new demands and opportunities for pro audio solutions emerge.’
‘My relationship with d&b goes back to the late 1990s and throughout that time I’ve been continuously impressed by the quality of the products and engineering,’ said Mr Claringbold. ‘At d&b the focus is only ever on one thing: developing solutions that go beyond expectation. I’m absolutely thrilled, and honoured, to be joining the team.’
Together, Mr Claringbold and d&b have already established the Sound Futures programme, which Mr Harman describes as ‘a strategic platform for our future development, which will strengthen d&b and pave the way for new sound experiences and audio technologies’.
