Gianluca Dalessandro promoted to lead dBTechnologies export sales

WORLD: Italian manufacturer dBTechnologies has promoted Gianluca Dalessandro to lead its export sales team, taking the title business development manager. Mr Dalessandro, who takes responsibility for setting up and managing new distributors and dealers worldwide, is well-known to members of the Asian and African industries, having represented both territories since 2014.

Though Mr Dalessandro first joined dBTechnologies in 2011 as an export area manager, he was tasked with concentrating on Asia and Africa in 2014. He has since developed commercial strategies within both territories that have yielded substantial growth for the brand, particularly in the Asia Pacific. He is described by worldwide sales and marketing director Giovanni Barbieri as ‘perfect for this role, not only thanks to his deep knowledge of the industry, but also his flair for identifying new opportunities’.

Mr Barbieri continued, ‘dBTechnologies has nearly doubled its worldwide distribution network in the last four years. After such dramatic growth, alongside some recent appointments in key market places, it became clear that the company needed to strengthen its sales operations. Our CEO, Arturo Vicari, immediately agreed to support investments in HR, first of all for an experienced account manager, able to support a growing sales team while pushing the company towards further development.’

Alongside his new duties, Mr Dalessandro will continue to look after the Asian and African markets, working alongside Elio Caia for South America and Flavio Malpighi for Europe. He concluded, ‘I am looking forward to coordinating with them to both reinforce our distribution network and introduce dBTechnologies audio solutions to new markets.’

The appointment will become effective on January 1st 2016 and will be followed by further appointments within the dBTechnologies international sales team.
