IABM to address state of the industry

WORLD: The IABM will use its annual State of the Industry conference ahead of the opening of NAB to present its latest industry research. This will include the publication of the association’s March 2017 Benchmark survey, which reports aggregated financial performance for the broadcast and media technology industry.

Following this, the IABM will also host a pair of panel discussions. The first will be an executive overview of the industry. This will feature contributions from Todd Collart of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, Mary Kay Evans of Verizon Digital Media Services, Glodina Lostanlen of Imagine Communications, Ramki Sankaranarayanan of Prime Focus Technologies, and Neerav Shah of Grass Valley. Following this, the second panel will focus on IP, with debate between Thomas Edwards of Fox, Ken Fuller of Globecast North America, Howard Lukk of SMPTE, Karl Paulsen of Diversified, and Dan Turk of NEP Mobile Unit Division. Del Parks of Sinclair Broadcast Group will then round off the conference with an update on repack and ATSC 3.0.
