InFocus Corp acquires Avistar

WORLD: InFocus Corporation has announced the acquisition of video conferencing software provider, Avistar. The announcement follows InFocus’ recent acquisition of Jupiter Systems and will reportedly enable the corporation to target all price points in the market, whether it's ‘connecting to a distant classroom or campus, or connecting an entire global infrastructure’.
‘Growth and depth in all areas are a key focus for us this year,’ said Mark Housley, InFocus CEO. ‘This acquisition expedites our ability to leverage software to more rapidly create and enhance the human experience of connecting, to anyone, anywhere.’
With the purchase, InFocus has acquired all Avistar assets and will continue to leverage its global team of software engineers to improve its video conferencing intellectual property.
