Luis Esparza of QSC joins the board at Alma

WORLD: QSC staff engineer Luis Esparza has been appointed to the board of directors at Alma International. The association provides global standards, education and networking opportunities for the audio community, while Mr Esparza leads transducer development for QSC’s loudspeaker solutions.
‘I hope I can share my own experiences as a loudspeaker and transducer engineer to assist Alma further in being a worldwide resource for knowledge and standards in the global loudspeaker industry,’ enthused Mr Esparza. ‘I’m very honoured to join the board of Alma, which has a long-standing tradition of supporting both the loudspeaker manufacturers of the world as well as the loudspeaker engineering profession.’
Mr Esparza is the co-author of Curved Line Array, US20080085027 and Loudspeaker Array, US D560207, both of which are US patents. With a BSEE degree obtained from California State University, his 30-year career began as an audio technician in JBL’s consume division. After working in several roles at Harman across the JBL and Infinity brands, Mr Esparza became director of engineering at Acoustic Solutions, before it switched to Eastech. He has collaborated and forged relationships with engineering teams, suppliers and manufacturers across the US, Europe and Asia.
